Christmas!

As we all know Christmas is soon arriving. Time for a whole bunch of exciting activities in the primary classroom :)! I love Christmas. Possibly my favorite holiday along with Thanksgiving. This week I decided to pin Christmas craft ideas for the kids. So many cute, simple and fun activities to do. One that I will remember my teacher from placement doing was for Halloween. The students wrote out:

H
A
L
L
O
W
E
E
N

And had to make a sentence beginning with that letter. She wrote out tons of Halloween lingo for them to use on chart paper which they made reference to a lot. Then they had to decorate and colour it, I stapled them to a board in the classroom. For Christmas I want something that they can bring home to their parents, preferably put on their family tree!

How cute!

Christmas Crafts for Kids- Reindeer Christmas Cards and Ornaments:

Rudolph Rings in the Season @Becky Atwood and Family: I saw these cute little reindeer ornaments at a recent craft show and knew immediately that my Brownie troop would LOVE to make the lil' critters! The project is easy enough for a six-year-old (with the possibility of a bit of antler assistance). My troop is made up of eight-year-olds, so I know they'll be able to dive right in! (TUTORIAL):
homemade Christmas ideas for children | Christmas Sweets for Kids 1: Christmas Bell Ornaments - inexpensive holiday activity for kids. Would be awesome at a winter festival, recreation center, fundraiser, child to parent gift in art class at school, or even for elderly residents in nursing homes. All of the pieces are easy to handle, construction is simple, they're fun to assemble and you can paint them however you like. :):
